Proverb 4:25 "Let your eyes look straight ahead, fix your gaze directly before you."
The attitude of optimism, faith, and love for God is what we need to honor in this world. I have 
to say it's tougher to do than it looks. I know, for me, I always have to re-direct myself. For example, there are certain things (sex, money, or other relationship issues) that should not be discuss with other people. Sometimes, you listen & participate with that person's story & you put a good attitude about it. However, there's a fat line of being a good sport about it and being respectful. What you do, your attitude must please God than your friends, & soon enough yourself. If that doesn't fall in line in your attitude (you feel exhausted or discouraged or maybe both), pray to maintain a can-do & positive attitude. You have to strive for it. One of my co-worker told me once, "Attitudes are contagious &...is yours worth catching?"
