WHAT'S COOL? TOY STORY MANIA..

My sweetie bought a 2Fer Disneyland tickets and it means we can go to Disneyland one day and the other day to Disney CA Adventures.  We went to Disneyland on my birthday and this month, we decided to go to Disney CA Adventures.  It will be our 1^st time together in Disney CA Adventures.  The theme park opened at 10a.m. and everyone was rushing in.  Just letting you know this particular theme park is sort of under construction and we were wondering were everyone is at.  As we looked at the map, we didn’t see any rides that we thought would be exciting expect one.  Yes, you guess it “Toy Story Midway Mania!  We weren’t the only ones because it was the longest line out there.  Basically, that’s where everyone was at.  LOL

It’s somewhat similar to  “Buzz Light Year” ride which is located at Disneyland.  We figured if it is similar to “Buzz Light Year” which we believe is the best ride in Disneyland, we will give it a shot.  You have to get these 3-D goofy glasses in the bin and wear them during the ride.  It’s a shooting game ride and it’s about 5 ½ minutes long.  Boy, it was worth the wait to be on this ride.  At first, we didn’t get the hang of it but the 2^nd time around, it was a blast.  Maybe it is because my sweetie is a competitive person and as we wait in line, he looked up on his IPhone for scoring tips.  He’s such a nerd but he truly wanted to beat the heck out of me. 

I was hooked on it, too.  I wanted to beat my sweetie so badly considering he shouted out loud, “That’s how we do it, Baby.  Oh, yes, in your face.” at the end of ride.  Everyone was laughing as we walked off the ride & he said, “Let’s do it again.” 

Eventually he was nice enough to give some secret tips.  When you pull the string, you have to rapidly do small strokes.  You can’t go alone.  You must be with a partner in order to help each other out for scoring high points.  In Buzz Light Year ride, you have to shoot the triangle targets to get the highest points.  In Toy Story Mania ride, it’s the same logic but it’s tricky.  Here are some scoring tips.

1. Pie Throw Practice Booth: ONLY PRACTICE.  J
2. Hamm & Eggs (egg throw game):
• If you shot the fox in the corner, at the same corner a flock of chickens will appear and they are worth 1,000 pts.
• There’s a rat on top of the barn, shot the rat and there will be more rats and each will be 1,000 pts.

3.  Bo Peep's Baaa-loon Pop (dart throw game):
• Each corner top, there is a cloud with 5 balloons worth 500 pts. & there will be a rainstorm with balloons worth 500 pts.
• If you and your partner shoot both of the clouds at the same time, each will be a rainstorm with rainbows with balloons worth 2,000 pts.
4. Green Army Men Shoot Camp (baseball throw / plate breaking game):
• You have to shoot 2 jumping plates in the back that are worth 2,000 pts.
• Soon after,  with your partner you have to shoot 4 more jumping plates in the back in order for the mountain to lift to reveal a tank
• There’s helicopters flying around worth 1,000 or 2,000 pts
• However, there are small plates in the bottom worth 100 pts.
5. Buzz Lightyear's Flying Tossers (ring toss game):
• There’s a spaceship with 8 aliens popping up.  If you could toss 8 aliens before they appear again, it will reveal a super Alien worth a lot of points.
•     Watch out for space aliens near the spaceship worth 5,000 pts.

6. Woody's Rootin' Tootin' Shootin' Gallery (suction cup shooting game):
• In the corner, there’s a water tower that has 2 target wroth 100 pts. and it will give you a tree of targets
• Shoot the tree of target at once and another tree of targets will appear worth 1,000 and 500 pts.
• In the Mine cart game, there are target in the back worth 1,000 pts., hit that & you will have carts appearing 1,000-5,000 pts
• Or better yet when you clear each row of the mine carts, they will value more to 1,000-5,000 pts.
• The Final Target: You have to target as quickly as you can in order to value up to 5,000 pts.

 

These scoring tips extremely helped us a lot.  I took a picture of us and our scores.  I didn’t win that game however we went on the ride 4 times.  I finally beat him on the last ride.  I didn’t take a picture of it but knowing I did…Heck, knowing he knows that I did truly feels great.

P.S.  We had a couple in front of us and they were so into it, too.  They had tricks up on their sleeves.  Well, they told us in the Buzz Light year ride if precisely 15 people & Handicapped person in front of you in line, you could get more target points.  How?  Because it takes time for the Handicapped person to get off the ride and it will delay the game…The woman and I didn’t know about that at all but the men surely had their talks about tips and tricks on these games. Shame on them of how they cheat out to get more targets in play. >_<
