You are not obligated to earn or gain God's love. It's already there for you. (2 Corinthians 5:14-15) "For Christ's love compels us, because we are convinced that one died for all, and therefore all died. And he died for all, that those who live should no longer live for themselves but for him who died for them and was raised again.
Question: Why do you love God? Answer: "I love God because he loves us first."
The Moulin Rouge movie quote: "The greatest thing you'll ever learn is just to love and be loved in return." It's great to know God loves us and once you know it and receive it, you will experience his amazing grace. So in time, you will learn to love him back but to do so, it only requires to believe and by faith in him. Nothing more....that's it.
