I believe God's will is not your future. I mean, tell me who I should marry? Tell me what my duty for you? It's not that at all.
1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 (NIV): "Be joyful always; pray continually; give thanks in all circumstances for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus."
It's okay to be thankful in your heart.
It's okay to pray quietly before you eat a meal.
No worries, don't put pressure on yourself on things like those in your life. He is listening. He's always there with you. He knows.

Have you ever read Corrie Ten Boom's The Hiding Place? It really gives you perspective of "all circumstances" really means!
