In Genesis Ch. 15, it described the blood covenant with Abram. What is a covenant in the Bible? Well, it’s an agreement between 2 people, between a king or a leader or even his people, or God. Why is it necessary to have a blood covenant? Back then, it’s how God confirm the promise with Abram and his descendants. Abram bring a 3 yr. old heifer, a she-goat and a ram, along with a turtledove and a young pigeon. They cut the animals in two expect the birds. The birds were distractions during the process. They made a path of 2 parties that would walk down to confirm the covenant. Abram fall asleep, though but God was the one who walk the blood between the animal’s bloody carcasses to uphold their agreement.
It’s up to you if you believe him or not. I don’t want to be a Bible Thumper…that’s not what I do these blogs. I do them to let you know we are all human that we can get upset, annoy, unfriendly, sexual urges, impatient, judgmental, & etc. We get distracted and not knowing the truth & understanding it. The truth of a matter is spiritual and Christ is permanent like our nationality, our skin is permanent.
