MATERIAL THINGS OR GOD

Money, money, and more money. we do need money to live. Although as Christians, we have to acknowledge that don't let it be the central focus of your daily living. "Money is a tool but it should never overwhelm our sensibilities." It should be God above possessions, above material things. I heard this many times from my fellow friends and family but sometimes you do lose track what's truly is important especially nowadays.

As I go with each day planning our wedding, I don't dream about having more money in order to make our wedding beautiful. I have to think logically & be creative to make it beautiful and that we could afford. I watch those Bridal tv shows & see each and every bride struggling and stressing out to make it a "perfect" set-up. They should focus on what the wedding truly means to each other, to God. Wedding of celebration of two people in love and becoming as one. The temptation to love the world more than we love God is extremely outrageous according to me.

So, let's just focus on God and realize material posse ions can not bring you joy, your joy comes from you. Soon enough, you should definitely share that joy with the world, show them what you offer. Let the world be engaged of what happiness could be and probably have to be in their lives.

Matthew 6:24: "No one can serve two masters. Either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and Money." (NIV)

It's funny, I was just thinking about wedding finances today. Thanks for the reminder to keep things in perspective.
