LOOKING GOOD IN THE MIRROR

Everyone heard "Beauty is the Eye of Beholder." This morning on TV news and the Internet, all the buzz would be about the Emmy Awards. You would think it would be about who received the award but apparently in this type of world, it's more about who has the best and worst dress on the red carpet. Frankly, I just think it's getting old.

Don't get me wrong, I give props for the fashion designers for their talents. It's not about that, it's the question that lingers in my mind every time the Emmy Awards are around the corner, does God care what we look from the outside? "God is Spirit and therefore He is looking at our soul and spirit. Our bodies are referred to in scripture a "tents" or "temporary dwellings" for our soul. Though personal hygiene, exercise and diet are important for a healthy body, God desires for our primary efforts be given to the health and care of our soul and spirit."

It seems according to me the beauty is what you make of yourself, not what you wear. Well, I think what you wear is the creativity out of you. Perhaps, your creativity should be upon in God's eyes and not the world. Put your soul and spirit within in him first, and everything else can be secondary in your life.

Matthew 23:28 (NIV) "In the same way, on the outside you appear to people as righteous, but on the inside you are full of hypocrisy and wickedness."
Matthew 7:20 (NIV)"Thus, by their fruit you will recognize them."
